78 Erfolg auf der Photonics West Drei Best Student Paper Awards für Jenaer Forschende Gleich drei Forschende des Instituts für Angewandte Physik (IAP) und des Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Optik und Feinmechanik IOF wurden auf der renommierten SPIE Photonics West in San Francisco mit dem Best Student Paper Award ausgezeichnet. Die SPIE Photonics West ist das internationale Highlight der Optik und Photonik Community, welche jährlich Ende Januar in San Francisco führende Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler sowie Vertreter der Industrie lockt, um sich über neueste Entwicklungen auszutauschen. Mit ihren innovativen Forschungsbeiträgen zu Hochleistungslasern im 2-µm-Wellenlängenbereich überzeugten Philipp Gierschke (Fiber & Waveguide Laser / Fraunhofer IOF), Mathias Lenski (Fiber & Waveguide Laser) und Gonzalo Palma Vega (Fraunhofer IOF) die Konferenzkomitees.
